Engineering plastic pellets are often obtained by modifying some general plastics; for example, by changing certain molecular structures inside or adding other components such as glass fibers.
Engineering plastics are industrial plastics used for industrial parts or shell materials, with excellent strength, impact resistance, heat resistance, hardness, and aging resistance.
The definition in the Japanese industry is "high-performance plastics that can be used for structural and mechanical parts, with heat resistance above 100°C, mainly used in industry."
Its performance includes:
a. Thermal properties: high glass transition temperature (Tg) and melting point (Tm), high heat distortion temperature (HDT), high long-term use temperature (UL-746B), large temperature range for use, and small thermal expansion coefficient.
